#285: GIDDAY MATE.

i am BACK. i am ALIVE & KICKING. and that means, I AM WATCHING YOU. I AM WATCHING YOU NOT TAGGING! zARGHz.

but! much to my delight (and surprise), i can finally upload pictures! so here are Melbourne shots. Tassie ones come later. if you've noticed, i'm toting the Tote That Everyone Has That I've Vowed Not To Carry Anymore - you see, i figured that the TTEHTIVNTCA was only TTEHTIVNTCA in Singapore. aha! so i carried it to Aussie where No One Else Has It. clever, eh?

Lord Of The Fries.

this was in the middle of the road.

fully functional, fully equipped, complete with installed needle-disposable bins.

i think the avid shopping did them in.

Burke Street, night. the shops close at ZOMGZ! 9pm! (9pm is considered late. in aussie shops close anytime from 2pm-6pm, usually)

Muffins & Cookies Beckon. (they appear better than they taste)

St. Kilda's beach. we make hole manymany.

HWAH!

Melbourne is the world's No. 1 producer of the fly specie Extremus Irritatius.

hoho! i killed one!

i could have been a) escaping paparazzi, b) converted to Islam, c) shielding myself from the sun & Extremus Irritatiuses

@ Luna Park, outside the special Lara Croft Tomb Raider maze thing. it was supposed to be extremely scary. it wasn't. in fact, i just walked my brother into walls, stopped half way to giggle uncontrollably at his "I don't get scared because I react slowly, remember?", and tremble encouragingly at the actors who were trying so hard to get a scream out of us.

KRISPY KREMES.

purple sky. this is 7pm, Melbourne time.

the secret foldout bed that we didn't discover until the last night.

the walls were mirrors, which made me uncharacteristically narcisstic.

ach, the reason we love Down Under.

ZZZ

there was crazy weather in Melbourne. one day it was 35degC, and the next it was 14degC. brill.

Trams. the equivalent of our MRT.

aw.

Help Us!

dunchwantogohomewors

ve haf Krispy Kremes and yew don!
till next time.
Good/Bad News: LMHMKMN has officially been SOLD OUT. i don't know whether to laugh (yay, full house = ppl love us!) or cry (full house = more embarrassment).
i am sleepy. i need to sleep. now.

Location: Changi Airport, Terminal 2, Departure Hall

alrighty, so this is it folks. i'm leaving on an airplane in an hour or so, and this shall mark the start of yet another sleepless yet enjoyable night. (ie, i will be playing games or watching movies or chomping on oversalted peanuts for 8 hours). of course, not to mention, i'm extremely hyped about this trip. however, i'm still feeling the strains of yesterday/today's boat house adventure; i'm incredibly woozy, and my brain insists on recreating the swaying motion. hence, my head and my insides are being mercilessly tossed about on the ocean of abigail's body's overactive imagination. to simplify this phenomenon: I Am Dizzy. and the keyboard here sucks, plus the 'N'and the 'M' have been rubbed clean off this thing. i cut my finger today and thus i have an obiang psychedelic plastic plaster protecting the wound. & i am still very very, extremely giddy. i want hot chocolate, and i want my world to STAY STILL. STAY STILL YOU FOOLISH HEAD!!!!!!!! garh, my lips are dry, and my cat scratched me just as i left and i have a swollen itchy gash across my thigh. my sock keeps slipping off my foot, i am sleepy but i don't want to sleep. i want to listen to my ipod now. and i'm still fretting about LMHMKMN. i want you to come but i'm not so sure how the audience will... find the show. and i don't think i can score straight As for my A-levels; will i survive in JC? should i take a H3? i'm honestly scared of you after i found out about your er, nevermind. plus, my brother is bugging me because he wants to use this internet terminal to visit the snowager @ Neopets. speaking of which, i have not collected my daily interest for a week already. garhz. i am expecting Things in the mail. i am so giddy, my head is actually moving... physically, and i'm swaying a bit like Jack Sparrow when i walk. i walk in concentric circles because my head tells me to. i want to play Cluedo at Vivo city again. i don't have time for a job but i want one.

honestly, i really need this holiday.

#284: WOOHOOX

BLOGGER SUCKS. i have pictures aplenty to display (about 100+), but n0o0o0o, Blogger & IE & basically EVERY SINGLE PICTURE-HOSTING WEBSITE revolt once more. but thanks to my lovely friends, i have a number of pictures up on my Facebook account, so go see!

basically FAM can be summarised as such: much squealing & cam-whoring, duh. i shamefacedly admit, that camwhoring was ... FUN. and since we paid a shotload of money, we decided to make the most of it anyways, and document it as inappropriately as possible. for example, I don't do scallops. crabs, yes. prawns, yes. scallops, no. but we got served scallop last night, and i paid 60 bucks for that squirmy round thing. so, what the heck, i decided, and promptly took a picture with it. then i handed it to zhengning.

(and my superhighloubieslookalikes were killing me, but i quite liked them anws.)

and there was alot of drama. after FAM, that is. drama that involved clandestine going-ons, ferocious security guards, and waytooearlymornings.

therefore i am now,
1) Too tired - I've only slept 1hour plus in the previous dont know how many hours.
2) Too stoned - I wore my dailies lenses for 26 hours straight
3) but! Too excited - We go poshwosh sampan tmrwors!

Love me. Hate me. Kill me now.

#283: Only Octarine

A double rainbow coruscated into being. Close into the lip of the Rimfall were the seven lesser colours, sparkling and dancing in the spray of the dying seas.

But they pale in comparison to the wider band that floated beyond them, not deigning to share the same spectrum.

It was the King Colour, of which all the lesser colours are merely partial and wishy-washy reflections. It was octarine, the colour of magic. It was alive and glowing and vibrant and it was the undisputed pigment of imagination, because wherever it appeared it was a sign that mere matter was a servant of the power of the magical mind. It was enchantment itself.

But Rincewind always though it looked a sort of greenish-purple.

- The Colour of Magic, by Terry Pratchett

there are no RGS Sec4 girls online.
it's 2 hours to prom.
i am frantically seeking Internet help for eyeliner application & etc.
i should be getting ready.
(I AM EXCITED)
the next i time i get to blog, is probably... upon my return from aussieland.

#282: wot a wunderful way...

... to start my Wonderful Week. yes, this week is supposedly - i repeat, SUPPOSEDLY, italicised & capitalised - abigail's Wonderful Week. observe,

MON: Prom @ Meritus Mandarin
TUES: Prom-recovery, Report-collection, LMHMKMN rehearsal
WED: LMHMKMN rehearsal, 416 BOAT HOUSE
THURS: 416 BOAT HOUSE, Departure @ 0000mn (12mn that is)
FRI: Melbourne
SAT: Melbourne
SUN: Hobart
& etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

of course this means that i'll have a relatively sleepless week. monday to tuesday i may be up all night with Batch07; tuesday to wednesday is the only time i can pack; wednesday to thursday is BOAT HOUSE - and if you're on a damn big floating expensive well-equipped thing, you won't want to sleep much!; thursday to friday we'll be on route to melbourne...

still, this week is was all set to be a real winner,

BUT

1) our Chevvy's air-conditioning has broken down, and the bloody people at Chevrolet are all "boohoox we can't do anything", "boohoox you just ran out of gas", "boohoox that will be $500". in other words: "boohoox we dunchnox anything! throttle us to death like, now!!!" so we now roll down the windows & drive. it's fun on the way home, but not fun on the way to... events. like for example, i am going to show up at Prom tmr night in SERIOUSLY wind-swept hair. go me.

2) last week, i went to get a prescription for Monthlies (contact lenses, that is) & the ones for my left eye had to be specially ordered because of my ever-increasing astigmatism (it's still way low though thank goodness, & my myopia decreased) - blame it on the Internet - and they were promised to arrive way. before. monday. guess what? they still have not arrived, and monday is tomorrow, and prom is tomorrow, and they're not even going to arrive tomorrow!! so i am going to wear my uncomfortable dailies, and squint glamorously at all cameras tomorrow. go me.

3) Blogger & Internet Explorer are being WAY ANNOYING. yes, you see this, BLOGGER? do you see this, IE? YES YOU ARE WAY ANNOYING! i repeat, YOU ARE DAMN ANNOYING! An'-an'-and...I dare you to shut down my blog! whatever! ROARRRR!!! anyhoos, pictures refuse to upload. plus, Blogger refuses to let me tamper with my template. wtffff. so we'll be stuck with the Jappofangirlmushcrap profile till.... WHEN I CAN GET IT FIXED. go me!

4) NO ONE KNOWS WHEN PROM STARTS. times range between 6.15pm-6.45pm. "oh, half an hour!" you may scoff. but! 30 minutes is VERY LONG if you're wandering uncomfortably round some hotel's lobby.

abigail, stop it. stop complaining like some old rockingchaired knittingneedled grannikins. look on the bright side! there's always a silver lining, a pot of gold, the glass is half full, and there's no more chinese forever...

speaking of chinese, looking back, i actually regret not taking a better shot at it. but now, it's too late. i have to face the music (yay, total cliches today!). i'll have to live with my substandard angmohchinese foreverz, and curse the day i first formulated a negative impression of the subject. oh, woe! woe!!

abigail, STOP IT.

*Always look on the bright side of life!
da-dum, da-dum-dee-dum-dee-dum*
(after all, there's total melbourne/hobart yayness!)

#281: Tally-Ho!

It has only been One Week (of LMHMKMN rehearsals, that is), and we've already gone through the ups and the downs. we've exhausted most of our laughs, have dissected the poor script like a tree frog (only the script's heart stopped beating way before we reached it), and ended each session Extremely Bushed (picture this: 5-7 girls sprawled on the floor of the dance studio, muttering incoherently). and well... quote me today, "...this is only the tip of the iceberg." yes, we have 3 more weeks to go (but i wont be around for One! Whole! Week! yay)

of course it was fun. after all, technically we aren't RG students anymore so we basically... did everything that we've always wanted to do but was against the school rules. (e.g. Use the staff toilet, Order KFC in again!, Picnic out in the dance studio, Come in home clothes, iPod, Handphone everywhere, and the like)

now, on to scarf progress (remember, i resolved to knit myself a scarf to wear in melbourne/hobart?): every chance i got, meaning during rehearsals and on public transport etc, i as a-knitting a-way. then, tonight mummy pulled out all her old winter woolies and Guess What, she has TWO ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS SCARVES, WHICH MY PURPLE DIY ONE TOTALLY PALES IN COMPARISON TO, LIKE ZOMGZ!

i don't know whether to be pleased or pissed.

Weekend Agenda:
- Reply smses
- Sleep
- Clear up room
- Finalize Prom rubbish
- Tuition-thingum meeting
- Lunch
- Youth Camp signup
- Inform appropriate people of my absence
- Scarf-knitting
- Read "The Colour Of Magic" by Terry Pratchett

#2. Zoe Chan, basically cute, cute & cute.

#3. Chermaine Chee, who is soo cheeko she cheeko-ed on a chair.

#4. Chermaine Leong, who is the official Pocky-supplier in class.

#5. Claire Chew, who's so totally going to get mobbed by boys in JC. i lovezhu!

#6. Fong King Yan, who has gorgeous legs, and is super camera shy!

#7. Angeline Goh, my favourite lab partner!

#8. Abigail Ho, yours truly.

#9. Rebecca Hoe, (extreme right) who is a video whizkid, and a secret mugger box.

#11. Kimberly-Anne Tan, my 2nd cousin, classmate of 5 consecutive years, school mate of 10 consecutive years, and real Partner In Crime.

#14. Lin Tong, (center) who is psycho, evil & fun to kajiao.

#16. Lui Wenqi, who i just might forgive for forcing Ouran on me, and who is just as trashy & romantic as i am.

#17. Joanna Ong, (center, and once again abbykay is here) who is the jap-iest & buxom-iest of us all.

#18. Stacey-Anne Fernandez, my favourite 'Others' prefect, harh. :D

#19. Teoh Xuyan, the most well-renowned mugger in 416.

#20. Wong Munyi, the extremely extremist Extremist, who swings from left to right.

#21. Denise Yam, who appears to be quiet, innocent & guai, but IS THE TOTAL OPPOSITE.

#22. Calyn Marini Yap, the one-woman TV show!!!
more pictures coming your way, i promise!

#279: :O

1. Day One was alright. tiring, but alright. at least we've managed to right alot of wrongs in the script and blah. Day One was alright, but it's going to be repeated everyday, for the Next. Few. Weeks. oh, joy.

2. I still have no Prom shoes/accessories.

3. We have to help Opeena.

4. My scarf is purple, and coming along beautifully. it could be better, but i still like it anyhoos. i knitted it from khatib to school, from school to chinatown, from chinatown back to yishun. i will so finish it on time (hopefully), and wear it to melbourne/hobart. Go Me.

5. I am not going down to help with moving chairs on wednesday, nehnehx. but of course i will be going on thursday for the dinner, yayz. if anyone wants to know, i'll be in a cyan dress (unless i feel otherwise, or mummy has a last-minute objection)

#278: Teaser

many pictures, in many instalments, coming your way.

just to update you anyhoos,

1) I am pleased with my GPA, for once. I could have done so much better had it not been for my totally screwed up Sem 1 (yes, i mean BAD, not the zomgz-i-got-below-3.6! kind of bad, but the zomgz-i'll-be-screwed-in-JC! bad) considering all that, i managed to pull my entire grade up after all, and i totally qualify for 12 units! :D hello H3/Theatre Studies! (maybe)

2) So, I am officially out of RGS, but it's not getting to me yet. it's probably because i have to go back for LMHMKMN rehearsals (yes, it's a play), but this time, i don't have to follow school rules!

3) I loved Stardust. it was 80% different from the book, but it was fabulous all the same. for one, the ending wasn't bittersweet in the least, and rather, it was a beautiful fairytale ending - very different from what was in the novel (not to mention, i shed tears). however, if i were Neil Gaiman, i'd be a tad horrified, seeing my literary work dissected and re(un)assembled until liddat.

4) I want THIS to go with my prom dress, because it's soooo sexy and sooo totally my size! ARGHZ. who bloody cares if i'd be able to walk or not? it's just tooooo gorgeous!

5) we've scrapped Osaka, and are headed for Melbourne/Hobart (Tasmania) this November! i am so PSYCHED, and will start knitting a scarf asap (box's brilliant idea)

#277: ZOMGZ

Note: Video has been reuploaded, and a new one has been added! Scroll down to enjoy!!

and finally, the one subject that has been the bane of my existence ("embrace your heritage!" they say, "饮水思源!" they also say. well, i say, "PAH!"), is COMPLETELY OVER - for i have faith that i have managed to bag a D7, at the very least. and also finally, you guys get abigail-taken pictures (courtesy of isaac, seraphine & their cam), and i begin this post with the very picture that is currently my wallpaper. i actually feel very sentimental, just looking at it.

so after the (VERY LAST) chinese paper, *BOOM*, 416 just practically exploded out of our classroom (which turned out to be very style, just like our invigilator, yay, yes, thank you very much), did the victoriestest victory dance ever, and just WENT BALLISTIC!!!!!

Parental Advisory: VIOLENCE AND GORE

the aftermath.

angie was trying to spread the Chinese Chi to kingyan.

the Great Hall (okok, Evelyn Norris), post-paper. you can't see it, but everyone is zomgznomorechinese-ing.

later abbykay, ahlui, kim and i went gallivanting around orchard. on a whim, we decided to go to Suntec/Marina/farwayplace. then wenqi's tummy got the better of us and we decided to go to taka. in the end, we arrived at COFFEE CLUB and bought generally yummy food and compared the Anorexicness of our choices (kim won hands down; Wasabi Prawn Salad, hello?!).
we had a very... perky and ... alert waiter who waited on us, and kept making ... witty comments every time he passed by. his comments were so... witty and ... spontaneous that, we couldn't tell what he was saying half the time (or couldn't react properly, or couldn't register what he meant). it was the fat translucent prawns' fault, that we came to this conclusion: abbykang has a "Come And Make Witty Banter With Me" face, and chortled madly about it.
after the dessert (muddy whachamacallit pie) the bill came (with the waiter, who engaged us in more witty banter), along with a Feedback form. being nice, generous and cultured ladies, we gave them very positive feedback - that is until we reached the "Other Comments" bit. i tell you, i had absolutely nothing to do with this: Wenqi heehawed and scribbled down some rubbish along the lines of "We enjoyed having witty banter with our waiter". horrified, we all FLED THE SCENE, and turned into Kinokuniya just as our Witty Waiter picked up the paper to read.
i hope we never see him again.

gallivanting around kino, and look what we found!

OURAN COMIC BOOKS, but that's not what was really astonishing. the above hands belong to I-Hate-All-Things-Manga-Anime-I-Kill-And-Rekill-Your-Fandom-Har-Har-Har-Kimberly-Anne-Tan, and she was rifling through the book... looking for pictures of MORI! What is the world coming to?!

after we escaped the perils of the labyrinth of books (which, according to Pratchett, distorts Time and Space), we went a-Gallivanting. galloped through shops, spotted two teachers on a *suggestive outing*, zomgzed very loudly, frolicked about more, zomgzed at prices, ran through Daniel Yam heehawing at the zomgzgowns, zomgzed at the clothes at Topman ("zomgz I would actually wear all these stuff!!!"), zomgzed at Prom dress suggestions for Wenqi ("c'mon qiqi, you'll be *DAZZLING*!"), and etc.

& here, we get kicks out of making fun of Sanrio products.

tomorrow is my last day as an RGS student.
tomorrow i will watch Stardust (an amazing Gaiman book, and i'm anticipating seeing it on screen):

tomorrow! tomorrow! ZOMGZ.
